Dove has been running their Real Beauty ad campaign for nearly ten years. They recently came up with a brilliant new campaign to encourage photo retouchers and agencies to reconsider the message they send by altering photos of women through their images.
They created and distributed a Photoshop Action under the guise that it would add a skin “glow”. Instead, what it really did was undid/reversed all their previous edits they’ve done to the photo in order to show the stark difference due to the changes they made. Brilliant.
