Microsoft Store Affiliate Program Launched

Microsoft Store US has partnered with LinkShare to create an affiliate program, which pays a commission out for referrals to our site that result in a purchase.  This is equivalnt to affiliate programs you see at other retailers, like the Amazon Associates program.

Once you signup for the program on the Linkshare site, it takes you a few days to get approved, but after that, it’s clear sailing.  You get a nifty interface to choose from either text links or ad banners to use to refer traffic to Microsoft Store.  They even have an option to have a rotating ad banner of a specific size, so you don’t need to worry about revising your content.

Here’s an example of some of our current ad banners in various sizes:
