The past month has been crazy for me on a personal level as I’ve had a so much stuff going on. I took advantage of the holiday this past weekend to get some time to unwind and relax by spending the Memorial Day weekend down at Cannon Beach with 8 friends.

This weekend was exactly what I needed as I got in some well deserved time to read, be outside, and have a really great time with my friends. A recap of the memories from the weekend:

  • Somehow I got nominated to be the chef for nearly every meal on the weekend. Good news is no one died from my cooking.
  • Gillian is an absolute dream in the kitchen and always amazes me at what she can whip up on a whim. Pear crumbler anyone?
  • 6 hour campfire saturday night was simply amazing. S’mores, wine, good laughs and trying to figure song lyrics we all knew.
  • Turns out the injuries from my fall a few weeks ago resulted in a micro-fracture in the heel of my hand. Even though Brandon transported my bike all the way down to Oregon, I couldn’t even go for a ride :( Good news is that I got to ride one of the mini-mountain bikes that were at the house we stayed at.
  • Had a blast hiking down to Crescent Beach from Ecola State Park, then taking a short-cut back up the hillside on a washed out trail.

Here are a few photos from the weekend, with the rest being up on Facebook.
