Restaurant checklist
I recently went to Pasta Freska with Jascha and Suraj and had an absolutely fantastic meal. Prior to going there, I had never heard of this joint which surprised me given it’s so close to where I live.
The awesome thing about this restaurant is their mission of your meal being the “Chef’s choice”. You pay $21 for your meal but you don’t order specific menu items. Instead, the chef asks you about your dietary restrictions and things you don’t like to eat. He then whisks off, and after a short time, food just starts coming to your table in small portions. We each had about 4 or 5 different dishes, and we all didn’t even eat the same things. At one point, Suraj got fish whereas I got a cream-based pasta.
Along with our meal we had 2 bottles of wine, dessert and coffee and the total cost was just north of $50 a person. Not bad given it was nearly a 3 hour affair.
I love trying new restaurants and try to go to a new one every other week. There are so many on my list it’s an impossible task to list them all, but I figured I’d share my “current” hot list that I’d like to try within the next 2 months:
