Windows Vista gets you 3-months free with T-Mobile HotSpot?

View Comments

Looks like there’s a strange page advertising a T-Mobile offer to give us all 3-months of free T-Mobile hotspot access when your laptop has Windows Vista.  (Remember that come Jan 30th, you can pickup your Vista upgrade from Windows Marketplace.) The promotional site for the T-Mobile HotSpot offer at http://www.skysurprise.com (nice obvious URL naming):

The bad news is that this has got to be one of the weirdest marketing sites I’ve ever seen. You load up the site and you see the Vista logo, 2 astronauts and a space shuttle rotating around a pink planet.  Questions to ask yourself:

  1. Why are the 2 astronauts tethered together?
  2. Why are they Russian?
  3. I wonder if the Vista logo rotating around a pink planet is one of Microsoft’s approved logo usages?

If you watch long enough, you’ll see a rocket powered donkey fly across the screen. WTF?  (Make sure you listen for the donkey sounds). uhh……
