6 days until the “Wow”
Our big plans for offering Windows Vista and Office 2007 by Electronic Software Download (ESD) has been keeping our team extremely busy the past few weeks. All around we’re working crazy hours from all avenues on team from our Program Management to Web Production and Testing to development teams.
For some eye candy, we just added a countdown timer for the availability of Windows Vista and Office 2007 on our site:
We’ve been picking up a TON of coverage in the press the past few days from both mass media outlets and bloggers alike. Here’s a tiny, tiny snippet:
- PR Newswire: Microsoft Unveils New Ways for Consumers to Get Windows Vista
- Playfuls.com: Microsoft Will Start Selling Windows Vista and Office 2007 Online
- DigitalTrends.com: Microsoft to Offer Vista by Download
- BetaNews.com: Microsoft Announces Vista Purchase Options
- Crave (Cnet): Midnight madness planned for Vista
- RandomElements (blog):Windows Vista and Office 2007 will be available to download - legally!
- Enterprise Open Source Magazine: Microsoft Discovers E Commerce
- CrunchGear.com: Vista served up for sale three ways
- Tracy and Matt’s Blog: Microsoft Unveils New Ways for Consumers to Get Windows Vista
Last, but certainly not least, it’s worth pointing out 2 blogs that our team has. First, the team itself has a blog on MSDN at http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmarketplace/, where we just talked about our Vista and Office ESD (Electronic Software Dowload) plans.
The second blog worth pointing out is from one of our senior devs, Rob Mensching, where he also recently discussed our Vista and Office ESD plans.
And finally, you have my blog which you’re already reading :) I’m still planning on moving my blog to a wordpress hosted solution, but in order to do that I have to find some free time after we ship ![]()
